As Senior Associate, Murex MLC Consultant at Sapient Global Markets, you will use your Murex expertise and deep understanding of the issues and trends relevant to the energy trading industry today to help develop groundbreaking technology solutions for our clients. Moreover, applying your Murex experience and energy market know-how you will provide techno-functional leadership on the above and help expand our internal Derivatives Trading Risk Management capability. Our Murex team provides end-to-end Murex package implementation, upgrades between different Murex versions, Murex application support, integration, testing and migration of Murex for our clients.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaise with client stakeholders to understand the problem statements.
- Design and development of the MLC modules as per the project plan
- Recommend techno-functional and workflow improvements and assess performance issues/risk.
- Provide input on planning, implementation and technical support during building, testing and deployment of enhancements/customizations. Working with the testing team to create the MLC specific test cases tobe used during SIT and UAT phases and also execution of the test casesto ensure business sign-off is obtained
- Support client workshops to translate business requirements into system design.
- Conduct technical feasibility and validate solution options for the requirements. Involvement in the implementation of MLC as partof standalone installation or MX 3.1 integration
- Perform code reviews of deliverables.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Significant work experience with Derivatives Trading and Risk Management preferably Murex.
- Expertise in MLC (standalone as well as integrated version)
- Functional understanding and appreciation of the core MLC modules -Credit Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk and Collateral management
- Expert in configuration and execution of MLC LTS tasks from thebackend. Understanding of the MLC Reset (MLC EOD) process and theconcept of engines in MLC
- Technical knowledge of installation of MLC (both standalone andintegrated), MLC directory (file) structure, key MLC configurationfiles, connectivity to MLC database (SQL query)
- Understanding of the MLC Reporting module (LRB) andconfiguration/customization of LRB reports
- Good understanding of the financial services industry end-to-end, Derivatives and Capital Markets.
- Experience in a consulting or similar client-facing role preferred.
- Significant understanding of the business concepts and capabilities of Murex.
- Good understanding of the full software development life cycle.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, strong bottom-line and techno-functional leadership.
- Openness to travel and work at client offices.
