Senior Associate recruitment
Our client, a leading financial services company, currently seeks a Senior Associate, to be based in London
The Senior Associate will be responsible for:
-Design, implementation and operation of a new operating model for UK GAAP accounting across the LEC and FSA regulatory reporting space
-Leveraging this operating model to make improvements to the Statutory Accounts planning and delivery process (approx 120 entities including 60 active entities, a number of which are FSA regulated, and consolidations) including a review of the Accounts Preparation software
-Legal entity restructuring / liquidations / capital infusions
-Technical subject matter expert for the LEC and regulatory teams; ensuring completeness of disclosures and US / UK GAAP reporting differences; keeping up to date with accounting and regulatory developments, providing input to New Business Initiatives.
As such, the successful Senior Associate will have the following skills and experience:
-Qualified accountant with 3+ years PQE
-Excellent and up to date technical accounting knowledge for UK GAAP IFRS; US GAAP an advantage with recent experience of statutory audits
-Solid understanding of investment banking products
-Self motivated, investigative approach, with the ability to work independently using own initiative
-Sound knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and Outlook
