Job Description
The incumbent will be involved in the execution of new transactions (representing the Risk team) and in the ongoing portfolio management of closed transactions. On the former, the individual will participate in the due diligence process, development and sensitizing of financial projections, input on structure and documentation, and development of credit approval write-ups (all jointly with the business team and with input / guidance from senior individuals in the Risk team). On the latter, the individual will be involved in the ongoing monitoring of transactions, preparation of credit reviews / updates, and other tasks associated with the monitoring of transactions. In addition, the individual will also be involved in the analysis and preparation of credit write-ups related to the acquisition of secondary loans.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related subject
- At least three to five years of credit analysis experience with a focus on structured and project financing transactions
- Exposure to loan documentation and term sheets
- Experience in building and reviewing complex financial projection models
- Knowledge of corporate and project finance credit rating methodology
- Strong analytical and credit skills, with an ability to identify key credit and structuring issues of a transaction
- Mindset of questioning and cross checking information, with a solutions orientation on new transactions (going beyond identification of risks)
- Ability to form a credit view and defend that view, while being open to the views of others
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- A good team player with the ability to work well independently within tight timelines and to multi-task
