Senior associate scientist with hands-on knowledge of biosensor analysis of protein-protein interactions. The qualified candidate will establish and efficiently utilize fit-for-purpose biosensor assays to support programs from various therapeutic areas. The qualified candidate will work closely with the head of BBB/SPR group and other groups within GBT to insure efficient and coordinated efforts, and timely delivery of high quality analytical data package. In addition to providing Biosensor support the qualified candidate is also expected to become familiar with various biophysical and analytical characterization techniques such as protein solubility/stability analysis, aggregation, SEC-MALs, and LC/MS. Responsibilities: - Responsible for SPR assay development to evaluate protein-protein interactions including antibodies, drug targets from human and surrogate species, soluble receptors, receptor ligands, and other proteins necessary to support development and characterization of biotherapeutic drug candidates. - Early stage hit screening and triage; and complete kinetics and epitope binning for lead molecules; pH and serum stability profiling. - Develop cell-based binding assays using various biosensor platforms such as KinExA for affinity measurement of cell surface receptors. - Responsible for supplying highly quality SPR data package. - Provide advanced scientific expertise to methods application and development for protein-protein interaction, affinity/specificity characterization, and problem solving. - Coordinate closely with group head and sub-group lead scientists to ensure proper project prioritization and to maximize workflow efficiency.
