Senior Associate / VP – Risk Management recruitment

Key responsibilities:

Constructing the methodology and models for risk management and developing the framework of  internal codes, policies and procedures and implementing the best practice  in coordination with the Compliance Department.

Monitoring and analysing business activity and regulatory changes and conducting regular reviews to ensure compliance with the relevant FSA rules and regulations, relevant guidelines and policies in coordination with the Compliance Department.

Due diligence and preparation / presentation of credit analysis on all financial institution counterparties in coordination with Finance and Compliance Departments and handling all necessary credit documentation negotiations relating to derivative transactions in coordination with front office and compliance department with a view of minimising the credit risk and other types of risks involved and using the capital resources efficiently.

Risk measurement and management with a focus on credit risk management and market risk, including VAR calculations.

Performing regular and ad-hoc stress testing and scenario analysis, capital adequacy projections as part of credit, market risk and liquidity management;

Liaising with the Finance Department in daily assessment of the capital adequacy of the firm and in review and preparation  of ICAAP.

Skills, Experience and Qualification

• Strong analytical skills and understanding of complex financial structures

• Ability to provide sound judgement on complex non-routine risk issues and provide clear recommendations

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Results orientated, with the ability to organise and work either in a team or autonomously

• Well-developed interpersonal skills and ease of contact at all levels

• University Degree in a relevant field with a solid quantitative background, a degree in a quantitative subject ( Maths, Physics, Statistics…) with some exposure to Finance is preferable.

• Significant knowledge across a wide range of finance and risk-management issues with five years of relevant experience.

• Strong experience dealing with traded products ideally from a credit  risk Management point-of-view

• Experience with trade booking and Credit Risk Management systems

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of sophisticated financial products

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong time management skills, ability to cope well under pressure

• High degree of self-motivation and self-initiative
