Senior Associate/AVP- Debt Capital Markets recruitment
The Role
• Develop and maintain detailed data base on the US debt capital markets
• Utilising the market data base, prepare market update presentations for both internal and external use.
• Have understanding of Bank's US clients including capital structures credit and debt issuance needs and behaviours.
• Develop and prepare client presentations to help the Bank win debt underwriting mandates.
• Coordinate on all aspects of the US debt capital markets business with Relationship Managers, Home Office debt capital markets and other product partners.
• Working with Bank personnel, coordinate the execution of all debt market transactions.
Ensure all Bank policies, procedures and record keeping is adhered to in accordance with Bank rules and regulations
REQUIREMENTS
- Undergraduate degree with a preference for finance, law, accounting or other related areas
- A minimum of 3 years of financial services experience with a requirement for direct debt capital markets. The candidate can have either a financial institution or a corporate coverage background.
- Areas of understanding / experience to include: strong knowledge of the US debt capital markets; knowledge of corporate bond analytics and conventions; corporate finance and credit skills, corporate bond documentation.
- Prior experience in a client facing role with the ability to communicate effectively with external clients (issuers) in a sales capacity
- Highly competent in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Bloomberg and experience in creating debt capital markets client presentations and market updates
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong work ethic, organizational / time management skills and the ability to work independently under pressure
