Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Associate and/or a VP-level candidate (depending on experience) to join our Quantitative and Strategy team led by Vadim Zlotnikov, AllianceBernstein’s Chief Market Strategist. This position has a high level of independence and autonomy, and involves developing and implementing sophisticated quantitative tools including stock selection models, risk models, and portfolio optimizations. In addition to contributing to our published research and marketing materials, the role will have responsibility for a high level of customized analysis for our institutional client base. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. This position has outstanding potential for career advancement.

Job Qualifications

Candidates should have a PhD or advanced degree in math, financial engineering, statistics, quantitative finance or other related field. Successful candidates will have track records of outstanding professional and academic performance, excellent analytical and financial skills, relentless intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level. Proficiency in SAS and C++ programming is required and Visual Basic is a plus. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of financial and statistical modeling concepts and be familiar with financial statements and accounting. The abilities to build solutions to complex analytical problems and communicate (in writing and verbally) with a sophisticated institutional client base are essential.
