Senior Audit Manager – Change recruitment
The Senior Manager will be responsible for delivering part of the audit plan. This will require in depth hands on involvement and management of a team from a pool of resources within Audit. The team will change regularly so the Senior Manger must be adaptable and have excellent people skill.
The role is Life GI focused with an extremely large change portfolio, with the objective of delivering assurance work around these projects.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
In delivering independent programme assurance, the Senior Manager (Change Audit ) is accountable for:
- Provision of robust risk based Programme Management process assurance.
- Stakeholder management with senior management in relation to the planning and delivery of the specific assignments and overall programme assurance across Aviva.
- Stakeholder management within the broader Internal Audit function.
- Developing and monitoring detailed resource and task plans for individual reviews.
- Leading and participating in reviews across the UK as required.
- Quality Assurance of assigned reviews to published Internal Audit standards.
- Managing timely production of high quality deliverables.
- Coaching and developing Internal Audit staff being utilised on reviews in Programme Management areas.
- Managing relationships with relevant External Audit resources in conjunction with Head of Audit and local audit functions.
- Managing relationships with relevant external stakeholders (e.g. regulators), in conjunction with Head Audit and local audit functions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree is preferred and current relevant professional qualification required.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
- Specialist technical knowledge of risk management and audit techniques.
- Programme Management assurance knowledge and good business knowledge including extensive experience of industry best practice and standards (e.g. PMI, PMBOK, CMM, Prince2)
- Strong service delivery focus.
- Sound Project management, to support complex programme reviews, using teams of variable size and composition, across geographical locations.
- Advanced written spoken English language essential.
EXPERIENCE
- Range of experience across industry sectors including financial services, preferred (Programme assurance).
- Recent experience of complex programme assurance.
- Management of staff to deliver portfolio of reviews.
- Experience of risk identification and defining practical solutions for management.
- Evidence of proven career track record and consistent record of achievement.

The assurance coverage responsibilities and accountabilities are applicable to both programme and project activities.
