Job Description
This job has a direct impact on the achievement of key enterprise and business unit objectives and contributes to the Independent Assessment provided to the CEO and Audit Committee as to the effectiveness of internal control within the enterprise.
- This job is accountable to support the enterprise and their assigned Bank Pillar in maintaining an effective system of internal control.
- Proactively identify changing client values continuously align services practices
- Provide the client with insights as to the efficient effective functioning of internal controls Employee Practices
- Continuously adopt new practices/procedures/issues/techniques into practice
- Recognition as a thought leader in internal controls and risk management
- The Audit Manager is accountable to ensure audit workpaper programs assigned are completed
- The function represents a credible source of knowledge on the changing marketplace
- Support Corporate Audit Division in their goal to continuously improve their World Class Practice through an ongoing operating focus on the eight attributes of World Class Practice.
The Successful Applicant
- A significant track record (5-10 years) of work in a Financial Institution, of which at least 3-5 years experience in audit, with a formal accounting designation (CA, CPA, CMA, CGA, ACCA)
- Relevant business experience within Capital Markets (front, middle or back offices) is essential
- In-depth knowledge in Internal Controls and Risk Assessment within a Banking or Financial Services framework
- Working knowledge of trends and best practices in Internal Control
- Working level planning and organizing skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Introductory level of leadership and managerial skills
