This leading Australian financial services group are currently experiencing growth within their Corporate and Institutional business. With expertise across all asset classes, this reputable business prides itself on its strategic direction and its pathway for long term success.
As a key growth area, an opportunity has arisen to join the global audit and control business to contribute to the overall credit risk management framework to the Institutional business.
This highly analytical and challenging role will attract experienced Relationship Managers or Senior Credit Executives looking to develop their careers in credit risk management practices and credit quality control.
As a senior leader of the team, your primary focus will be to contribute to the credit risk management for the business and to engage with senior stakeholders across Relationship Management and Credit Management
You will be responsible for:
- Undertaking credit risk reviews across targeted geographical regions and business units
- Assessing governance and control frameworks within business units and regions with an emphasis on credit risk management
- Liaise with Relationship Managers and Credit Management as appropriate to understand key drivers and issues
- Conduct on-site reviews, assessing individual credit files for sound credit decisioning, ongoing credit risk management and policy procedural adherence
To be successful, it is essential that you will possess experience within Institutional Banking in either a RM, Credit Management or Operational Risk based Audit capacity.
- Ability to analyse and understand complex financial statements and business models
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience/exposure to operational risk based audits would be advantageous
- Ability to work across multiple projects
- Corporate Recovery experience preferred.
