Senior Audit Manager recruitment
The sucessful candidate will be key contributor in the development and the growth of the internal audit function of the whole sale bank.
Key Accountabilities
- Audit a variety of Capital Markets and global Financial Markets operations and functions in accordance with audit / test programmes to meet agreed assurance objectives, timelines and established standards.
- Lead the planning, fieldwork, and reporting of internal audit engagements to deliver agreed assurance objectives to established standards and timelines.
- Establish and develop effective working relationships with Equity Management of business units for which incumbent has risk assessment responsibility or is assisting in risk assessments.
- Act as liaison with Capital Markets as well as Financial Markets Management to ensure full understanding of business strategy, plans, products, performance and risk-related issues at business unit level and communicating these to the relevant Functional Team members via bottom-up continuing risk assessments and dialogue.
- Provide non-assurance services to business units where required, through participation on advisory engagements / special projects within the Group.
- To identify and escalate significant issues to Senior Internal Audit Management
Selection Criteria
- Professional auditors with Capital Markets and Financial Markets audit experience or business practitioners with core audit / business skills.
- Willingness and capacity to learn on the job with the view of medium term progression further within both Internal Audit and elsewhere in the Standard Chartered group.
- Ability to collect and objectively analyze and apply information, “thinking out of the box” where necessary, in supporting the planning, fieldwork or reporting of results of internal audit engagements.
- Responds enthusiastically to tasks allocated, accepts responsibility readily and demonstrates business professionalism in personal appearance.
- Ability to work in a team and willingness to assist team members when needed.
- Flexibility to work across different functions and situations globally, and change priorities at short notice.
- Ability to commit to 40% business travel.
- Ability to perform role of change agent.
