A truly global bulge bracket investment bank is looking for a highly experienced audit manager to join their internal audit function in London. With a fast-changing banking environment and ever-evolving regulatory pressure, internal audit is extremely high profile. The Finance Internal Audit function conducts audits across the bank’s Finance function, working closely with other specialist teams including Securities and Corporate Banking. You will be exposed to various product areas, legal entity and finance functions – Accounting Policy, SOX, Valuations, and Product Control. The role of Audit Manager involved planning and leading risk-based audits whilst developing IFRS expertise (especially with regards to investment banking. You will be required to carve relationships with senior stakeholders within internal audit and from the business, from EMEA / APAC / US regions.
Requirements:
• Education to degree standard (or equivalent)
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) from a Big Four type practice
• 10+ years of total experience with at least 5 years in investment banking in one of the following areas:
o Product Control (Fixed Income or FX)
o Internal Audit (Finance or Treasury)
o Finance, Treasury or Risk
• Strong understanding of IFRS and other key accounting concepts
• Understanding of finance related issues across global banking
• Strong capital markets product knowledge and liquidity management experience
• Excellent accounting, tax and reporting experience
• Strong analytical and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Comfortable with being challenged, whilst still acting professional
• Able to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and management
• Flexible and committed team players
• Fluency in English
