Senior Audit Manager (VP) – Private Banking/Asset Management recruitment

This leading banking organisation with an excellent reputation in the region is looking for a suitably qualified internal audit professional to lead and actively participate in audits and audit advisory engagements in Private Banking and Asset Management across the Group.

Key Accountabilities: 
 

•Drive execution of audits escalating issues/problems as necessary.

•Develop and maintain broad financial services experience and Bank knowledge and understand the impact on Finance.

•Develop and maintain Private Banking Asset Management expertise and knowledge, including products, processes, risks and controls.

•Plan audit engagements based upon a risk-based approach using audit methodology.

•Facilitate audit tracking and assists in the validation of proper closure of issues.

•Prepare draft reports including issues, recommendation and obtains management responses.

•Participate in departmental initiatives, internal projects and potentially in special investigations.

•Partner with other groups during audit engagement to ensure an integrated approach.

•Assist in scheduling of audits.

Key Attributes:
• Experienced auditor, business or risk manager with good understanding of the wealth management, asset management or private banking business.
• Minimum 10 years of work experience.
• Ability to collect, objectively analyse and apply information in support of risk assessment, planning and execution of audit engagements
• Willingness and capacity to acquire new knowledge and keep up to date with developments/market trends within area of expertise
• Demonstrate leadership ability and the ability to prioritise and manage work of the audit team to ensure timely delivery of audit commitment
• Adaptable and demonstrate willingness to work across different functions, culture and locations
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing
• Ability to commit to 20% business travel
