Senior Audit Manager Wholesale Banking recruitment
Responsibilities:
- Establish and develop effective working relationships with Management of business units for which incumbent has risk assessment responsibility.
- Act as liaison with Management to ensure full understanding of business strategy, plans, products, performance and risk-related issues at business unit level and communicating these to the relevant Audit Management via bottom-up continuing risk assessments and dialogue.
- Implement the strategic audit plan by leading, performing or supporting, as appropriate, the planning, fieldwork, and reporting of internal audit engagements to deliver agreed assurance objectives to established standards and timelines.
- Tracking of Audit issues to resolution.
- To assist the development and maintenance of Audit test programs that reflects current business organization and operating environment.
- Participate in ad hoc assignments/special projects within Group Internal Audit/Bank as may be assigned.
- Where undertaking the role of Team Leader, provide interim performance feedback to team members.
- Share knowledge, skills and experience with team members to guide and assist in their development.
- To identify and escalate significant issues
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of audit experience
- Ability to commit to about 40% business travel (each trip is about 1 to 2 weeks)
- Ability to perform role of “Change Leader”.
- Professional auditors or business practitioners with core audit / business skills, particularly Wholesale Banking OCC and Risk. (Candidates who only have big-4 experience can be considered.)
- Effective collaborative skills that contribute to positive working relationships with counterparts in Group Internal Audit and the business.
- Ability to collect and objectively analyze and apply information, “thinking out of the box” where necessary, in supporting the planning, fieldwork or reporting of results of internal audit engagements.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and seek guidance when needed.
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task without loss of quality.
- Flexibility to work across different functions and situations globally, and change priorities at short notice.
- Engagement in professional certification activities, including completion of mandatory Bank-sponsored industry certification (e.g. credit, trade finance etc.) where appropriate.
- Professional audit certification.
