Senior Auditor, APAC IT
Group Internal Audit (GIA) is an independent function that supports UBS in achieving its strategic, operational, and financial and compliance objectives. We do this by assessing key processes as well as governance, risk management, and the control environment within all business divisions globally. We are independent in our work and report directly to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Risk Committee.
GIA's structure consists of divisional audit teams throughout the world, reflecting UBS's business structure. We are looking for an outstanding professional to join our dynamic APAC IT Audit team in Singapore as a Senior Auditor – APAC IT. In this role you will leverage your understanding to plan, perform and report the results of APAC IT audits.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Owning and maintaining relationships with IT heads in the region, including providing regular updates on key IT developments which may impact the annual audit plan
- Leading and acting as team member on APAC or global IT audits
- Analyzing and assessing risks (market, credit, operational, legal and compliance) assumed by the business; including key risks within IT applications, infrastructure and system processing environment
- Identifying and evaluating the effectiveness of controls designed to address those risks
- Conducting audit fieldwork in line with the determined standards
- Providing practical and sustainable recommendations to IT management to address control weaknesses, providing adequate support to promote effective change and following up on remedial actions taken;
- Preparing reports of audit findings for UBS senior management at local, global, functional and Group levels
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following requisites:
- Minimum 6 – 8 years of relevent experience in audit, compliance or internal control areas within the financial industry.
- Good understanding of the financial market, of operational aspects, as well as, process flows within and between banks / counterparts, and a thorough knowledge of local regulatory requirements.
- Flexible and committed team player
- Willing to travel to other UBS locations in APAC for audit assignments.
- Fluent in both verbal and written English
- Ideally CISA qualified.
