Senior Auditor

We are currently looking for a Senior Auditor to join the Finance Markets Team within the Santander UK Internal Audit Division. Upon joining the team you will be responsible for contributing to and leading audits of:

*You will be experienced in conducting Audits in financial services environment.
*Experience in conducting finance markets audits in a financial services organisation (ideally within a retail banking environment)

As a Senior Auditor your main responsibilities will include:

*Assists Audit Managers in ensuring delivery of the Audit Plan for Santander UK companies.
*Provides subject matter expertise within the Finance markets space for relevant stakeholders both within and outside Internal Audit including more senior auditors
*Scoping and Planning for allocated audits to ensure that the key risks are captured within each area in appropriate depth and in given time.
*Pro-actively develops and facilitates effective business relationships at all levels, including peers and senior managers. Across the business to enable optimal personal and business effectiveness.
*Manages professionally qualified Auditors and monitors the supervision of more junior audit staff on role related tasks and performance management.

This will give you excellent visibility of operations throughout Santander UK and an opportunity to work with stakeholders across all areas and levels within the Bank. You will be involved in the effective delivery of audits and supporting more junior auditors, providing input to their development

As a Senior Auditor your skills and qualifications will include:

*Member of a professional financial accounting or audit body i.e. ACA, ACCA or ISACA or equivalent
*Degree Qualified
*Broad experience in audit management (including internal audit)
*Excellent knowledge and understanding of Capital Markets, able to apply knowledge to achieve objectives and contribute to success.
*Proven leadership of complex/large audits across multiple business areas
*Significant people management experience within a Financial Services Internal Audit function.
*Excellent communication skills, able to build compelling business cases, and a adapt style in order to gain buy in. Able to persuade using a range of styles, and seeking win-win outcomes.
*Ability to develop and facilitate effective business relationships at all levels.
*Advisory experience from a Top 4 practice

Salary: £55,000 - £80,000 pa + car allowance + excellent benefits
