Our client is a global financial institution with operation in 83 countries, employing 157,000 people from 120 nationalities. For 125 years the banking group has been present in Germany. Today more than 3,000 employees are working for the group in Germany in 14 entities in Investor Services, Corporate Investment Banking, Consumer Credit, Securities Services, Online-Brokerage, Insurance, Leasing and Financing.
The audit activities in Germany and neighboring countries (Austria, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, The Netherlands) have been pooled within the German Hub located in Hamburg. The German Hub belongs to the Periodic Control Division of the banking group. The Auditor will participate in audit assignments covering activities including all core business areas.

Senior Auditor (f/m)

The Senior Auditor (f/m) conducts audit assignments with a focus on Corporate Investment Banking activities and can, depending on the mission, be team leader in an assignment. The main responsibilities include:
- Identifying and assessing the operational, counterpart and market risks
- Verifying and assessing the correct application and control of internal rules, legal requirements and regulations
- Controlling the quality of accounting and financial information as well as contributing to keeping the audit methodologies up-to-date
- Preparation of the audit report and the debriefing of the assignment as well as making recommendations
- In case of leading an audit assignment you will also be coordinating and leading the preparation phase and diagnosis and ensure that resources are assigned properly and deadlines are met
Background Role Requirements:
As Senior Auditor (f/m) you will need several years of professional experience in the area of audit services in the Financial Services Industry with a focus on Corporate Investment Banking.
Candidates require a strong ability of assessing risks and procedures at all levels, as well as monitoring the efficiency and appropriateness of the internal control system in place. You require strong analytical and project management skills, reliability and the ability to work under pressure and to communicate effectively at all levels in English and German within a global organization. Furthermore, you need to be able to negotiate at decision-making level and to suggest and implement goal oriented change management measures.
