Qualifications: Auditing is seeking a highly industrious and dedicated individual who recognizes the importance of Commitment to Excellence and demonstrates a high regard for the Company’s Corporate Values and Mission. Must possess strong organizational, planning, and project management skills and be flexible to handle multiple assignments, changing priorities, and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to effectively interact with business unit personnel and various levels of management. Must possess outstanding decision-making skills as well as strong oral and written communications skills.

Operational experience in transmission, distribution and construction operations (electric, gas or steam), plant or substation operations and maintenance is preferred. Must have a High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years relevant experience. Candidates holding a Bachelors degree in Science, Engineering, Management, Economics, or Business Administration with at least 3 years relevant experience are preferred. 3-5 years of experience in Health Safety or Environmental regulatory compliance is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. The position requires an individual who has extensive knowledge in one or more of the following: Fire Protection/Life Safety, Employee Safety, Asbestos, Industrial Hygiene, PCB Management, Water Pollution Control (SPDES Regulations), Petroleum Chemical Storage Tanks, SPCC Regulations, Solid Hazardous Waste Management. Supervisory experience, Certifications in Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Procedures (CEHSPs) are a plus. CPEA (Environmental Compliance and/or Health and Safety), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or other relevant professional certification preferred.

The candidate must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel to all Company and subsidiary work locations.

Position requires extensive walking, standing and climbing.

Responsibilities: Will conduct Environmental, Health Safety compliance audits of Company field and support operations to measure Environmental, Health Safety compliance at various Company locations. Will ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. Will participate in Management System Assessments of the Company’s EHS programs. May participate in internal investigations at various Company locations.

Produce concise and lucid written reports and audits. Develop audit recommendations to sustain EHS compliance. Maintain personal professional competency at a high level. May perform other related assignments as required.
