Senior BI Developer / SSIS / Business Objects Job in Birmingham B11 2Le, Midlands Uk
A SQL Server Business Intelligence ETL Specialist with a strong background in MS BI SQL Server 2005/2008 SSIS and Business Objects XI is needed urgently for a Microsoft Gold Partner in Birmingham. As part of your role you will be involved in developing SQL extracts on large transactional datasets, designing and documenting ETL processes and identifying business requirements for data marts. The role will also involve implementing data management strategy e.g. designing dimension tables, star schemas. There will also be a required element to be involved in customer liaison and identifying customer opportunities.
Key Skills:
-Thorough understanding of data warehousing principles and methods
-Strong SQL skills, ideally PL/SQL and T-SQL
-Integration Services (SSIS) and Reporting Services (SSRS) as a pre requisite
-Business Objects XI – ideally up to r2 (Report Universe Design)
Desirable Skills:
-Qlikview
As a Senior BI Developer you will ideally be Degree Educated and will have ideally come from a Financial Services background..
