Senior BI Platform Administrator
Position Description:
- Lead Enterprise MicroStrategy (MSTR) BI Platform Administrator, supporting multiple project teams and over 3000 users, including but not limited to server management, release management, license management, and project configuration and management
- Lead a small MSTR administration team in maintaining service levels across multiple support models (full self-service to 100% IT maintained)
- Mentor junior administrators, providing assistance where needed
- Develop, maintain, and enforce BI standards and service model(s)
- Develop or implement innovative BI and mobile BI solutions and platform configurations to meet emerging industry trends or customer needs
- Leads in the development and implementation of MSTR platform and mobile BI strategy
- Able to lead complex projects to achieve key business objectives and will be expected to handle smaller projects completely on their own, including interactions with other teams and 3rd parties for design and architecture
- Troubleshoot production support issues post release deployment and come up with solutions. Ability to solve complex production issues (Tier 3 production support)
- Support MSTR project teams in standards, best practices, and methodology throughout the SDLC, supporting all types of MSTR BI applications (mobile, web, office)
- Can provide multiple design solutions along with project estimates
- Collaborate with project teams on BI architecture design and decision-making
- Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
- Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
- Influences senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches
- Involvement with senior management in terms of supplying input for key design and architecture decisions, as well as work estimation and resource planning

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or HS diploma/GED with 5+ years of substituted experience
- 5+ years experience working with business intelligence systems in a developer, architect, or administrator role
- 2+ years experience working with MicroStrategy, COGNOS or Business Objects Business Intelligence Products as a platform administrator
Assets:
- Experience with configuring and administering IIS 7.5 or windows Server 2008
- SQL tuning skills
- Mobile BI proficiency
- Knowledge of platform, network and/or data security
- Ability to work on Cognos or BusinessObjects in any role
- Job scheduling skills (e.g. Autosys)
- MicroStrategy Certification
