Overview
The Senior Brand Planner will take the lead role in driving strategic thinking on one brand under a larger global brand. He/she will be the source of vital insights into the market, the client, and the consumer and be instrumental in the creative process. The planner will be instrumental in developing brand positioning for a new product launch.
Responsibilities:
- Building rapport with account management, media – and most importantly, creative.
- Passionately presenting and defending your views – while paying attention to those of others – with the goal of attaining the ultimate truth.
- Being skilled in the art of persuasion.
- Being analytical and intuitive in interpreting information from a variety of sources and effectively presenting it to colleagues and clients.
- Possessing a self-confidence that allows you to speak with conviction, not ego
Requirements:
- At least seven years of planning experience on large scale global brands, with experience as the lead planner.
- Success in building strong, trusted relationships with creative.
- Demonstrated ability to write briefs that give clear direction to creative.
- Experience managing primary and secondary research initiatives and teasing out the most salient insights.
- Experience evaluating the effects of communications in the marketplace.
- Financial services category experience is helpful.
