Senior Business Analyst – Finance Change recruitment
Team Summary
The Asia Finance Change team is currently supporting Finance and facilitating change to Finance systems and processes across Asia Pacific. The Finance Change team is responsible to deliver change programmes into Finance in a structured and controlled manner. These programmes can be Global, Regional or local in nature. The team has a flexible structure allowing people to move around from project to project and to focus on different systems / products.
The Role
- Asia Finance Change is recruiting for the role of a senior business analyst to be based in Singapore
- This role is within the products team which covers projects driven by individual FO businesses and other regional / local Finance sponsored projects which could be specific to Singapore or to the Asia region.
- The role will also include supporting the project manager in delivering a strategic FTB initiative for the Asia Fixed Income businesses, with the focus on delivering change into Finance in a structured and controlled manner.
- This role will report to the Project Manager.
Project Responsibilities
- Managing projects independently and work with Finance teams to understand requirements, constraints and deliverables on projects and produce appropriate project documentation including Business Requirements and Functional / Technical specifications, where appropriate.
- Defining resource requirements required on projects, where appropriate
- Securing of resources required to work on projects, where appropriate
- Perform cost-benefit analysis on project options, where appropriate
- Management of other project team members, where appropriate
- Liaising with the Programme Office, Technology, Operations, Front Office and other departments both internal and external to GBM and the Asia Pacific region.
- Defining resource requirements required on projects, where appropriate
- Securing of resources required to work on projects, where appropriate
- Preparation of test plans, test scripts, test scenarios
- Co-ordinating User Acceptance Testing
- Documentation, Implementation and training on process changes
- Production of user procedures
- Production of training materials
- Development and execution of process training
- Issue identification, tracking and resolution.
Experience/ Skills Required:
- Graduate with a good degree (any subject) desirable
- 5-8 Years experience working in Investment banking
- Qualified Accountant highly desirable, but not essential
- Good product knowledge on fixed income products and also detailed understanding of how the products are accounted for.
- Experience with new system implementation / business process re-engineering / target operating model
- Extensive experience from working in a Finance line and / or a Finance project role within an investment bank.
- Extensive experience in managing large scale finance projects in a financial markets / investment banking institution
- Must be analytical, and a good understanding of product based Trial Balances.
- Strong Excel skills
