Senior Business Analyst
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Technology Application Group (TAG) is a committed business partner to Scotia Capital, Integrated Support Services and Group Treasury, delivering technology services in multiple dimensions; business analysis, project management, software development and production support. TAG's success is based on strong customer service and strategic partnering with each of its' principle clients. The TAG department has a proven history of adopting best-of-breed technologies and implementing effective system solutions to meet critical business needs as well as developing a large percentage of its solutions in-house. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
You will have the opportunity to:
- Utilize your three to five year experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager, to solve highly complex and multifaceted situations, in relation to projects and business needs of Scotia Capital.
- Leverage your 3 to 5 year experience in business case proposals, testing, implementation strategies, progress monitoring, support, financial review and gaining support from senior management.
- Three to three years experience supporting global trading units with new systems, enhancements, business analysis, project management, testing and support.
- Apply your knowledge of regulatory requirements in financial markets, with your Capital Markets experience in one or more of the following: Market Risk, Global Equity Finance Prime Brokerage, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
You possess:
- Three to 5 years of expertise in Capital Markets front, middle and back office processes.
- Executive level communication skills, with strong interpersonal and negotiation ability, to obtain co-operation from users and senior management.
- Possess excellent understanding of EDP practices, systems development, modeling tools.
- Proficiency in writing UNIX scripts.
- Understanding of Algorithmic software and other risk measurement tools.
- Experience in the systems implementation process, and providing post-implementation support.
