Senior Business Analyst
A major Global Asset Manager is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to work withing the Business change Group on a number of Wrap Platform Initiatives. The successful candidate will lead a team of BAs within the busines change group and will be instrumental in delivering a successful wrap solution for the IFA market linked to the fund services. Candidates do not need to have WRAP platforms experience but need to have strong Asset Management background and need to have a team lead element to previous roles. The candidate must have strong Business Analyst experience: requirements analysis, specification writing, solution design, creation of test plans, liaising with the business on the execution of test plans and resolution of issues. The candidate is expected to take ownership of assigned work streams; analysis and solution design, working collaboratively and flexibly with the project team and business stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
- Autonomously works with business stakeholders across the firm to analyse, define, challenge and prioritise the business requirements
- Displays a good understanding of the business requirements for retail online investment platforms
- Engages with business owners and stakeholders to develop optimal and reasoned solutions, including the management of business decisions which impact requirements and delivery
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including 3 party vendors to ensure full engagement in the business analysis and requirements design process
- Collecting, understanding, and transmitting the business requirements for the project, and translating these into requirement specifications and Use Case driven test plans
- Articulates and documents requirements showing a clear understanding of both client and administrative (operational) requirements and impact
- Articulates and presents complex requirements in a format which is clear, concise and understandable to a variety of business stakeholders and end users
- Develops sound knowledge of WealthManager+, the effect of the requested changes and document impact analysis where appropriate
- Documents requirements in a format with consideration for the system development methodology
- Documents and manages test plans and scripts for business user acceptance
- Day to day management of change requests in relation to the project plan to ensure agreed deadlines are met
- Regular reports to be produced for the project manager showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies
