Senior Business Analyst
A leading mid tier Financial Services Group, which is experiencing genuine growth through innovation and investment, is seeking a Big 4 or Top 10 qualified chartered accountant, to join their Group Finance team as a Senior Business Analyst, to focus on FPA and Commercial Finance activities.
You will essentially be working as the Group Financial Controller's right hand person, and there is a genuine progression path to replace the Group Financial Controller in the next 3-5 years if the incumbent performs within the role and shows the necessary aptitude to make the step up.
The responsibilities of the role will be varied and will certainly evolve as the role develops over time, but you can expect immediate exposure to senior level stakeholders within the divisions, and also at board level. Effectively, you will be focused on supporting the strategic development of the business through profit, capital and cash flow modelling, but you will also lead the thinking on the structural and accounting issues affecting the group. You will also work closely with Investor Relations to develop an understanding of trends across the group's different businesses in order to develop the optimal presentation of group business performance.
The client is ideally seeking a qualified chartered accountant with at least 2 years post qualification experience gained in restructuring, transaction services, audit assurance, or an equivalent team. You must be able to demonstrate that you are a highly rated individual with your current employer, and also have a strong academic background. Previous financial services experience would be helpful, but is not essential.
