Leading Energy firm is currently looking to hire a Senior Business Analyst in a permanent capacity.
The Senior Business Analyst plays a leading role in formulating, directing and supporting delivery of large, medium and small scale business change initiatives undertaken by Change transformation Group.

They Change BA Group work in partnership with executives and other senior managers, deploying expert business analysis skill, broad business knowledge and specialist expertise to create strategic solutions that provide significant business benefit, against the backdrop of a robust business case and appropriate level of risk.
Along with the Programme Managers, are instrumental in shaping the structure of the business change and have responsibility for leading the Business Analysis work stream.
Lead BA will remain engaged throughout development and implementation to manage requirements change, validate the solution and prepare the business for implementation.

Deliverables -

*This post holder will take the responsibility for the integrity of the process design within Change, Risk, Finance and IT primarily for Trading and Risk.
*The Senior Business Analyst may also take a senior role, identifying and overseeing changes for IT and business process related to Trading and Market Energy / Credit Risk.
*The Senior Business Analyst plays a key role in the Business Change / Consultancy Group, developing the group's capability, promoting the groups services and skills to the wider organisation, and developing and mentoring other members of the Business Analysis community.
*They assist in the deployment of competency staff by assessing assignments and identifying relevant competency levels and staff for the tasks.
*The Change division is responsible for the coordination of operational strategy, management of all change projects and engaging with the business to ensure the change agenda is successful.
*The post holder will work closely with our internal partners, enabling them to gain a complete understanding of the operational requirements for a change to the organisation within a specific business area.
*They will be responsible for deriving solutions in partnership with third party resources, challenging them as and where required and referencing solutions against the benefits case.

In addition to possessing broad knowledge of Energy/Commodities Industry, the Senior Business Analyst will be a recognised subject matter expert in a particular field.

The post holder will work in close partnership with other Business Analysts and be expected to support their colleagues when required.

*They will liaise closely with the Business Leadership team to ensure that all changes impacting on people, customers, etc are recorded and resolved.
The post-holder will be part of the Business Consultancy Competency Group, and report to an Assignment Manager / Sponsor for any given piece of work.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements -

*Equivalent Energy business career with strong business and industry acumen with recognition as subject matter expert in chosen area of expertise
*A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.
*Experience of interpreting business needs into actual business requirements.
*Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem solving environment, with attention to detail, a commitment to quality and the ability to think strategically.
*Excellent foundation in business analysis skills using a variety of standard techniques and may hold a formal qualification.
*Extensive experience of business process analysis and design techniques
*Demonstrates excellent communication, presentation and written skills, with relevant experience of dealing with senior executives, business managers and third parties at a strategic level.
*Experience of formal project management techniques, such as Prince2 plus associated tools and processes, including planning and estimating
*Strong workshop facilitation and interview skills, including negotiation, influence, mediation and conflict management skills.
*Deep understanding Trading and Risk activities in relation to the Energy industry may hold a formal qualification.
*Understanding of trading commodity activities in relation to the Energy markets
*Understanding of Credit risk activities related to commodity trading and commercial contracts with major / small businesses
*Strong Industry knowledge and relationships. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and the energy industry.
