Senior Business Analyst - Wealth Management Business Solutions
POSITION SUMMARY:
Through project methodology, help the Wealth Mangement business lines achieve their project objectives by providing analysis and verification of technology and operational requirements. Primary reporting relationship is to a Project Manager/Senior Manager, however the Senior Business Analyst--a mid level career role---will work in support of projects under any Project Manager on the team. This role requires superior analytical skills, superior written and communication skills, strong organizational and planning skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to adapt quickly to changing situations and priorities. High level of flexibility is required. Knowledge is required of numerous and diverse front and back office systems and processes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Under the direction of the Project Manager/Senior Manager, provide support to project leadership/management by defining project scope, assisting in developing project plans and schedules, monitoring and controlling projects including holding status meetings and providing updates, reporting status to management and business users, managing changes to plan/schedules and co-coordinating external vendor involvement.
- Provide requirements/systems analysis by evaluating opportunities, defining business problems, assessing costing/budgeting, producing requests/functional specifications, reviewing/providing walk-through with users, analyzing system requests/system functions, developing test plans and co-coordinating with developers and systems analysts to ensure that their role in the project is being met.
- Assist with workflow and procedures for post-implementation to ensure that proper support is in place. Document policies and procedures and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operation subsequent to project completion.
- Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of the Division's business strategies and policies, risk management practices and methodologies, product offerings, financial markets, financial instruments, regulatory requirements, back office processes and rapidly changing technology to be able to provide effective business solutions and services to the end business lines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of previous technology/systems business analysis experience with an understanding of development methodology and/or business process modeling techniques is a exposure to project lifecycles
- Intermediate/advanced skills in MS Office, Visio, and Project
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) makes you a standout applicant
