Job Description

ALM and Group Treasury departments have taken the lead in developing a group which is building a modeling capability using an integrated risk management platform FERMAT ALM.

This platform became standard across Standard Chartered Bank Group for the profiling, control and monitoring of ALM risk space.

Leveraging on this platform, Balance Sheet Modelling Team is required to support design and development of policies, models, reports and analysis tools, which will allow to further enhance liquidity and interest rate risk assessment and transfer.

As a growing team becoming the Group's best practice centre of ALM risk modelling we are looking for analysts willing to become a member of highly specialized analytical team.

Key Roles Responsibilities

* Lead the design and development of new ALM risk models and reports
* Provide the analytical support requested by stake holders.
* Take part in discussions on methodology in relation to policy practices
* Conduct and coordinate testing of new developments according to agreed timelines and priorities
* Design and conduct feasibility studies of new requirements put forward by Steering Comittee
* Test and provide sign-off for items promoted to production
* Initiate discussion on standardization and an improvement of models
* Actively promote standardization of ALM models and reports used across the bank
* Ensure that new models and reports are consistent with relevant group policies
* Implement processes ensuring smooth and timely hand over of business requirement to a development team and user acceptance testing

Qualifications Skills

Competencies

* Very good knowledge of Liquidity Rate risk concepts (ALM risk indicators, behavioral models and FTP mechanism).
* Good Understanding of banking book and money market financial products (incl derivatives)
* Ability to define and articulate business requirements
* Ability to conduct data intensive, numerical studies and present their results in concise and clear manner
* Familiarity with databases and related technology (ideally oracle) and how these are applied to business problems).
* Strong knowledge of purpose and intention of developed solutions in ALM risk assessment domain

Required Experience

* Experience with SQL and/or BI tool (such as OBIEE)
* Degree in a finance / banking related field.
* Project Management
* Prior working knowledge in at least one of the following fields: business intelligence, banking book market risk analysis, behavioral modelling of banking products, Treasury, ALM.
* Prior experience with ALM risk software (Fermat ALM, Bancware, Kamakura, QRM, IPS etc
