Senior Business Analyst – Counterparty Credit Risk recruitment
A Senior Business Analyst to work closely with the Enterprise Capital Management (ECM) organization to:
- Clarify and document IMM business requirements
- Identify and scope technology efforts which can address those requirements
- Implement business process changes in conjunction with the creation of new tools
The BA will also partner with global development teams to design and build solutions, ensure that the output of those efforts meets business requirements, and clarify requirement and scope questions which arise during the course of the development process. The role is part of the Capital Management Technology team which is responsible for calculating the Bank’s capital ratios and capital requirements.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with senior business users to define and document requirements
- Work with users and technology team members to identify solutions to business requirements
- Develop and execute rollout plans
- Act as a liaison between global business partners (Front, Middle, Back Office and Finance), and technology teams
- Assess the impact and scope of the change
- Develop complete and accurate business models including process, data and organisational.
- Responsible for coordinating and generating project artefacts (business requirements, design documents, test requirements)
- Ensure Technology, Operational teams, change managers and Quality Assurance teams fully understand the requirements, scope and objectives through full collaboration and interactive process during the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Architects, Developers and Subject Matter Experts to establish the technical vision and analyze risks.
- Ensure the requirements are delivered by IT and/or vendors as specified.
- Assist Testing/QA Managers in formulating Test Strategy for the various test phases.
- Review of testing documentation to ensure maximum coverage of functional requirements.
- Support the business through the implementation process.
- Ensure correct use of enterprise-wide requirements definition/management systems, methodologies, toolkits and process standards throughout the project life-cycle.
- Ensure that governance policies and procedures are developed.
- Develop models reports using SQL other tools to assist in analysis and proto-typing solutions
Requirements
The position requires a well-rounded professional with superb intellect and vision, combined with strong operating, strategic, organizational and leadership experience. The role also requires an individual with an understanding of technology and business processes in a banking environment, with capital markets experience.
The successful candidate must be a proven leader with experience and a track record of delivering technology solutions that add substantial business value. In addition he/she possesses the following characteristics and experience:
- Significant experience as a Business Analyst within a banking technology environment
- Experience with and an understanding of Capital Management and/or Risk Calculation methodologies.
- Exposure to counterparty credit risk market risk (Monte Carlo models)
- Strong capital markets business knowledge and understanding of critical business issues, large-scale infrastructures and technologies.
- An engineering and automation mindset
- Ability to leverage both technology and process improvement to solve problems
- Good verbal and written communication skills. A natural communicator at all levels of the organization.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent leadership experience with record of leading, managing and mentoring diverse teams.
- Ability to drive diverse groups to a consensus
- Self confidence, intellectual curiosity and personal initiative.
- Some experience of large scale DBMS (Terradata) and SQL scripting
