Senior Business Analyst / Developer recruitment

Purpose of the job:

Principal accountabilities:

1. Risk IT system development and maintenance

Undertakes analysis of business processes and documents business requirements for automation of operating procedures. Implements and customises package applications using internal scripting/macro languages and reporting tools. Develops bespoke small/medium-sized Risk Control business applications, interfaces and web-based services. Ensures that the Bank’s standards for system documentation, version control, change management, testing and backup/ recovery are applied appropriately to Risk Control system development. Administrates related development environments.

2. Support

Utilises specialised business/institutional knowledge and technical skills to support end users in Risk Control in the development and maintenance of business tools and small applications and tools. Provides production support for business applications within Risk Control. Ensures that Risk Control IT systems are stable, reliable and appropriately documented.

3. Risk IT strategy

Contributes to the selection, specification, implementation, system testing and operation Description of IT systems to support Risk Control activities and assists the line manager in developing Risk Control’s IT strategy. Informs the line manager of major technology trends relevant to the business area.

4. Project management and budget responsibility

Manages implementation projects and contributes to the reporting to steering committees. Ensures efficient and effective project management, including the management of resources within the area of responsibility, in cooperation with the line manager.

5. Coordination / Communication

Maintains an overview of his/her broad technological expertise, including market trends, or changing business needs of Risk Control. Communicates with colleagues and customers to identify problems and proposes solutions. Represents the interests of Risk Control in Bank-wide IT projects / committees.

6. Risk management

Develops a good understanding of risk management and measurement best practices across all risk types.

7. Liaison with IMS / Banking IT and external relationships

Interacts with the relevant groups in IMS and Banking IT with regard to system design, integration, standards and change management. Develops and maintains relationships with peers of IT service providers, consultants, central banks and other institutions.

Qualification required:

Good university degree, ideally with an IT focus
