-- Senior Business Analyst Description PRIMARY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsible to effectively translate and communicate business needs to IT staff. - Conducts analysis of business and user needs by gathering requirements through observation, receiving and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources. - Competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. - Develop, implement, and maintain documentation of program development. - Revise existing system logic difficulties to serve new purposes or improve work flow. - Leads team in systems development, both from an application and business process perspective. - Interview survey workers, observe job performance or perform the job to determine what information is processed and how it is processed. - Conduct trial runs of programs utilizing approved testing procedures to ensure they produce the desired integration results. - Facilitate user acceptance testing - Write instructions and manuals following documentation standards to guide end users - Facilitate process and data mapping sessions - Report status, issues, and timelines to management staff and project teams. - Lead team in problem resolution, evaluation, and implementation of solutions. - Provide work leadership and training to lower level Business Analyst and participate in peer review. - Forge strong relationships within core Chesapeake business units.
