My client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to assist with a large data migration project. This individual will be extremely business focused however will still act as a bridge between the business and IT team.
Your Role will entail:-
- Define detailed business requirements to facilitate the product account migration events
- Analyse and document, data, business and functional processes and requirements to support the migration eg systems, data and processes, using standard business analysis methods and tools
- Organise and facilitate appropriate interviews and workshops
- Complete or oversee project work stream deliverables including quality control/sign off for area of accountability
- Prioritise work and deliverables according to specified timeframes
- Effectively liaise with business end users and manage stakeholder expectations
- Work closely with all business, change, technology and testing teams on the program
- Provide business input on manufacturing related migration issues and decisions for the program
- Work within a team environment and provide assistance in the management and leadership of your team and complete associated tasks
- Work with technology and testing teams to analyse the root cause of defects and help identify potential solutions.
You must have experience in:-
- Establishing relationships with the customers and serve as a key liaison point to ensure that the business needs and objectives are clearly understood and documented.
- Fully understand the critical success factors for the customer and represent the customer and their requirements to the rest of the project team.
- Identify, define, refine and manage the business requirements within a project, using a variety of business analysis methods, techniques and tools such as: stakeholder analysis; workshop facilitation; interviews and customer shadowing.
- Understand different facilitation techniques and skills (both formal and informal) and apply the appropriate techniques throughout when defining customer problems, objectives and requirements, and when identifying and analysing solutions.
- Provide input into project deliverables as required and produce project documentation that is clear and comprehensive.
- Use critical analysis techniques to ensure requirements meet quality standards - i.e. requirements are correct, unambiguous, complete, consistent, prioritised, traceable etc.
- Understand the different audience types who will be using the requirements’ outputs and how they will be using these.
- Link the business requirements to the project objectives and scope.
- Ensure ‘trawling’ for requirements is undertaken across all relevant audience and stakeholder groups.
- Work with the customer to ensure requirements are prioritised.
- Ensure requirements are approved and achieve sign off from appropriate stakeholders.
- Ensure the functional specification that incorporates the design of the business processes and /or application requirements aligns to the selected solution.
- Take ownership for the successful transition of requirements to other project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure the business requirements are measurable and traceable, both upstream and downstream.
- Oversee change control impacts on requirements as scope or timeframes change. Use analytical skills to further understand the potential impacts of these on risk, cost and quality.
- Have the ability to identify, investigate and recommend potential solutions to the customer problem.
