Job Summary
Responsible for the development / modification / maintenance of applications with the objective of enabling applications which support users in their daily operations.

Works under direct supervision
Responsibilities
•  Follows established guidelines in implementing application management procedures and processes e.g. process to handle forward schedules
•  Undertakes a variety of project tasks to contribute to application solutions for end users
•  Applies knowledge of the current domain IT infrastructure (different operating systems, network, database systems, application systems and servers etc) to contribute to projects and change requests
•  Applies knowledge of general business environment and strategies in order to undertake medium scale Change Requests
•  Performs a Domain function (e.g Incident Manger, Problem Management or Forward Scheduling etc.) with minimum support from the Domain Manager
•  Liaises with internal and external working stakeholders in order to perform assigned tasks
•  Contributes to the development of project and function related documents of standards with the support of the Senior Professional, Application Management
•  Plans and organises own work within guidelines and in line with the Application Management section priorities
•  Carries out other duties as required

Role Requirements (Education/Training/Skills/Experience required to fulfil job)

Minimum Bachelors Degree in Math/ Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent
6 minimum years experience in an Application Development field
3-4 years extensive experience in SimCorp Dimension Application in the Equities, Fixed Income and Alternative Investments Middle and Back office functional area.
Expert knowledge of SimCorp Dimension.
Relevant certification (e.g SimCorp Dimension Certified Professional, Foundation Certificate in ITIL) desirable

Role Specific Responsibilities

SIMCORP DIMENSION (Middle and Back Office stream):

Maintain and provide feedback in keeping and improving the SimCorp Dimension Holistic Model with respect to the departments’ requests and ensure its best fit. The area includes Equities, Treasury and Alternative Investment Middle and Back office including Operations, Settlements, Corporate Actions, Accounting and Performance Measurement/Attribution. This applies to both internal and externally managed funds.
Responsible and participate in all aspects of implementation of all future and current SimCorp Dimension projects, periodic upgrades, intermediate releases/service packs/patches etc.
Responsible for ongoing improvements in SimCorp Dimension (Middle/Back Office stream) to accommodate changes in departments’ business procedures and business cycles. Understand the handling of custodian, brokers, third parties and fund manager roles.
Review, analyse and document system requirements; responsible for SimCorp Dimension – Middle/Back Office configuration management based on those requirements; advice and help out in configuring the system adequately.
Responsible for customising business processes and best practices in the department in line with changes in SimCorp Dimension, structural enrichment and introduction of new investment products.
Responsible for addressing and follow-up SimCorp Dimension – Middle/Back Office related functional gaps, issues and defects; also responsible for their reporting and resolution.
Responsible for SimCorp Dimension Reference data and Interfaces. Interfaces include Interfaces Architecture, Interfaces optimisation and Interfaces Support.
