Senior Business Analyst recruitment

Leading investment bank seeking an experienced Business Analyst to undertake a pivotal role within the GL integration programme. Within this, the Ledger Strategy Programme team are responsible for delivering key elements of Finance's global strategic infrastructure.
The Ledger Strategy Programme is a four year programme to invest in Finance's strategic global infrastructure, and includes:
· Interfacing front office systems via a new cross-functional transaction warehouse into the new accounting rules engine.
· Designing and implementing a new detailed global transaction ledger and a divisional global control ledger.
· Analysing and defining strategic replacements for existing functionality embedded in legacy platforms.
· Working closely with separate programmes to deliver new reporting functionality and interfacing with new platforms.
Generic project responsibilities
A business analyst will be responsible for one or more of the following deliverables as part of a project team. The BA will report to the project manager or Senior BA where there are multiple workstreams on a programme of work. A BA will not have resource/team responsibilities.

· Current state documentation including process mapping and data analysis
· Requirements gathering and documentation
· Definition of accounting rules with SME based on signed off accounting templates
· Production of functional specifications
· Preparation of test approach, test plans and test cases
· Execution of system testing
· Preparation of migration plans
· Migration testing
· Co-ordination of user acceptance testing
· Co-ordination of implementation
· Issue identification, tracking and resolution
· Problem solving and developing innovative solutions
· Managing relationships with our stakeholders and partners
· Input to post implementation reviews

Essential Experience
Specific business knowledge technical knowledge required:
· Proven track record in the delivery of change initiatives within an investment bank.
· Clear and concise documentation skills.
· Ability to translate between technology and business requirements.
· An understanding of investment banking business and products and how a Finance function operates within this type of business.
· Qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
· An understanding of accounting environments.
· Experience in the documentation of operating models and business requirements.
