Senior Business Analyst – Reference Data – Data Warehouse recruitment
Tier One Investment Bank require a Senior Business Analyst to join a global reference data technology team. The team is responsible for providing authoritative sources of reference data to clients across the organization, through implementing state of the art technologies which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account and corporate action data. The team works in partnership with data clients across all business lines, deploying solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data. The principal function of the role is core business analysis, with the objective of providing a single high quality source of securities data for use throughout the organization to support front and back office data needs. Major areas of focus will include: Security Master Central platform - consolidated front to back data service for product and issuer data; Legacy platform retirement - integrate functionality from existing security master platforms and conduct analysis to migrate existing clients onto new strategic platform. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Reference Data Business Analyst with good understanding of the business concepts within multiple reference data domains, especially securities and products. Applicants will need strong awareness of proprietary security master technologies and other vendor solutions that are relevant to reference data system; and experience of delivering front to back reference data solutions in investment banking. The candidate will ideally have a broad awareness of multiple technologies and systems, however as this role is analytical in nature, this is desirable rather than essential. Examples of relevant technologies include : Databases - Oracle Sybase; Data Warehousing; ETL processing; Business Objects; and formal experience of project management and QA methodologies.
