Position Description:
Scholastic, the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books and a leader in educational technology and children’s media, is currently seeking a: Senior Business Analyst – Rights and Royalties
This position requires strategic, yet hands-on, experienced business analyst to partner with Finance, Business Operations, and IT divisions on developing efficient and effective solutions in support of Scholastic’s Rights and Royalties business process.
The Business Analyst will drive functional requirements definition, solution design, implementation and maintenance of systems applications.
The position will work with various IT groups and business users in defining, prioritizing and executing on-going application support, application enhancements and major projects.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Business or IT Discipline
• 5-7 Years prior experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager
• Experience in Rights Management, Contract Lifecycle Management, and Royalties Management, preferably in a Media/Publishing Environment.
• Experience with Ecteon CLM package
• Experience planning, implementing and supporting large projects/systems within the Rights Management/Contract Management Space
• Knowledgeable in PMLC/SCLC processes, roles, responsibilities and deliverables
• Self-directed, independent thinker that can creatively, tactfully and effectively drive a project to completion within assigned parameters
• Negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
