Senior Business Analyst, Transfer Agency recruitment
Purpose of Post
The BPA is responsible for providing key and detailed knowledge of Transfer Agency function across multiple projects. You will provide subject matter expert working with the Project Managers to ensure that all considerations for each project initiatives have been made. You will also liaise heavily with the Business Partners and Technology Partners as is appropriate.
Major Duties
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Transfer Agency
• Provide input to key project definition (requirements, design)
• Review, improve and approve key project definition
• Be responsible for the content of key Project documents, recommendations and decisions.
• Provide leadership and expertise for the domain required for the Project, including technical and operational policies and standards, controls and security.
• Understand technical impacts to and from interfacing technologies. Ensure Platform designs will successfully integrate.
• Provide guidance on best solutions with pros cons, risks, assumptions, etc., in project documentation
• Provide guidance on viable alternatives to proposed solutions
• Understand, consider and communicate design impacts on Operational Areas.
• Assist in the definition of Proof-of-Concept, Scope, Approach, Success Criteria, Resources Environment, Tasks, Costs, etc.
• Act as the primary point of contact to vendors as necessary
• Undertake / Manage / Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Analyse test results and log defects
• Provide effective communication on resolution of testing defects
• Design test plans / cases / scripts for applicable areas
• Facilitate the transition from Project to Operational Team
• Act as primary point of contact to training team ensuring all relevant knowledge transfer has taken place to allow End User Training / Procedure updates
• Aid in the construction of Project Implementation tasks (run books) ensuring all relevant operational processes have been included.
• Provide on- site support for Project Implementations
• Liaise with Clients / Relationship Managers as required.
• Manage projects outside the remit of the PMO group including day to day fund activity
• Provide BAU support to relevant operational areas.
Knowledge/ Skills
- In depth knowledge of day to day operations, usually acquired through experience in related areas, is required to recommend process improvement.
- Knowledge of system capabilities, usually acquired through formal training or experience, is required to assess automation possibilities.
- Advanced analytical skills are required to evaluate effectiveness of processes.
- Negotiation and persuasion skills are required to work with partners and implement changes.
- Organizational skills are required to develop and monitor project plans.

- Worked within Related work experience in Transfer Agency, Operations and Systems Analysis.
• PC literate - proficient in the use of Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Word MS Project
