Senior Business Controller HR Services recruitment
Nuon (part of the Vattenfall Group) is looking for a Senior Business Controller with international finance experience to align financial processes and help realise significant targets in cost reduction within a cross border service structure. Job location will be Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Frequent travel to Germany and Sweden will be required.
As of April 1st, a new cross border organisational structure has been set for the Services Area HR Services which is part of Vattenfall Business Services (VBS), the Shared Service Centre of Vattenfall. Main objective for the HR Services (HRS) MT is to transform HRS from three regional HR Shared Service Centres (SSC’s) into one single cross-border HR SSC.
We are looking for a: Senior Business Controller (HR Services) A new position created to align financial processes and realise significant targets in cost reduction in the (to be set up) cross-border functional organisational structure for the Services Area HR Services. You will be responsible for all financial processes within an international cross border Service Area with approx. 650 FTE and EUR 70 mio. budget. You will be part of the international controller team of Vattenfall Business Services and are expected to contribute not only to the Service Area HR but also to the development of the VBS controlling function as a whole. The main challenge is to change the financial structure from the current regional to a functional cross border structure. Main responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for business controlling and support the SA HRS manager and HRS MT
- Monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting, analysis and follow-up
- Budgeting: change regional structure into a cross boarder functional structure
- Performing ad-hoc analysis
- Ensuring accuracy and quality in financial statements and financial reporting
- Pro-actively developing business controlling within the Service area as well as in VBS
- Educating management and stake holders in financial analysis
- Take part in the MT of HR Services
- You will be reporting to the Head of Finance, Vattenfall Business Services and have an in-direct reporting line to the Head of HR Services
The International Business Controller we are looking for:
You finished your Finance Master or equivalent and are experienced in working as a Senior Business Controller in a cross border environment with a focus on cost reduction. You are a proven business partner working on MT level.
- Fluent skills in English are required, Dutch, German or Swedish is an advantage
- Good understanding of Shared Service Centers and/or Energy Business is an advantage
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge in SAP and Business Intelligence solutions is an advantage
