Continuously facing new challenges, our client is today looking for a Senior Business Controller who will be in charge of implementing changes within the organization and act as the right hand of the CFO, reporting directly to him.
Job Description
As Senior Business Controller, your role will consist of proactively partner within the business and as such drive accountability for financial performance ; be actively involved in interactions with business partners from other departments in exchanging performance data, in providing service as a financial expert and in giving constructive input on business matters; analysing current trends and forecasting impact; providing insights recommendations to the business
On a daily basis you will be involved in :
- Coordinating and steering all planning cycles, also including strategic planning and budgeting, for the different brands of the group ;
- Analyzing variances versus plans, identify areas for improvement and formulate corrective actions to the Management on a regular basis;
- Coordinating the reporting of monthly results to HQ for a number of legal entities within the group;
- Enhancing the efficiency of existing procedures and systems both within the controlling as well as the accounting processes;
- As active member of the risk committee contribute to the identification and management of possible business risks.
Job Requirements
You have a University Degree in Economics or Commercial Financial Sciences;
- A minimum of 8 years operational experience, preferably within a financial controlling department;
- A strong interest in ERP tools and a solid practical knowledge of MS Office tools, Operational knowledge of SAP is a plus;
- You display strong analytical and planning skills with sound financial insight;
- You are able to take initiatives and show interest in projects outside your own direct areas of responsibility;
- You are a reliable and integer business oriented and team-minded person with strong communication skills;
- You like to interact with and challenge business partners from the operational departments;
- You are fluent in French and Dutch and you have a good knowledge of English.
