Senior Business Development Director (Facilities) Job

The Director of Business Development (DBD) for the Facilities Management market segment supports the Government Division of Sodexo North America (NORAM) by leading priority facilities management pursuits under the direction of the Vice President of Business Development (VP/BD). The DBD Facilities Management will be assigned a primary performance location in Gaithersburg, MD and at the locations of the facilities managment services customers and partners engaged in each pursuit anywhere in the NORAM?s operating region. Note ? this position can be located anywhere in the US near a major airport Hub, with a preference for the Gaithersburg, MD headquarters office. Key Responsibilities ? Works closely with the VP/BD, Senior Directors, NORAM Operations Leads and capture teams. ? In collaboration with NORAM leadership, interfaces with customer representatives to obtain enhanced situational awareness, including an in-depth understanding of objectives, requirements, constraints and opportunities. ? Directs and manages NORAM captures as assigned and ensures that teams are adequately resourced and organized during each phase. ? Develops and implements winning strategies, including team structures, delivery solutions, competitive analysis, and pricing strategies. ? Responsible for the effective application and management of NORAM?s sales process throughout all phases. ? Directs and shapes proposal volume production, including technical, management and price. ? Initiates and manages interface with the VP/BD and other NORAM leadership to convey status, gain agreement and buy-in and effectively utilizes division resources. Minimum Qualifications ? Bachelor?s Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Engineering or a related field. ? Minimum of 8 years of experience, with directly related experience in business development, sales and marketing. ? Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of business development in the facilities management segment ? Documented record of sales success. ? Highly developed organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. ? Ability to build teams, effectively collaborate and gain cooperation. Preferred Qualifications ? Advanced Degree and formal training in business development processes. Business development experience in the federal, defense or intelligence community sectors. Familiarity with Sodexo?s related core businesses, including food service and operations maintenance. Position Summary : Responsible for all activities related to the development and execution of strategic plans for sales, retention and communication in the area of procurement and distribution services for non-managed clients. Develops and executes a strategic sales plan that secures clients fitting Client Procurement Services? target client profile. Develops and executes a strategic client retention plan that retains existing clients and grows Sodexo's profitability from these clients. Initiates and maintains new client programs until an operations team is in place.
