We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of Senior Business Development Manager, Commodity Structured Trade Finance (CSTF). Based preferably in Brisbane, or potentially Sydney and reporting to the Head of CSTF, you will be responsible for originating, structuring and implementing both vanilla and structured trade finance products to commodity customers.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Achievement of CSTF sales, client retention and acquisition targets, as well as cross–sell contribution;
- Structuring and championing proposed transactions internally by liaising with Relationship Managers, CSTF Transaction Management Unit, Commodities Finance Risk Management, Credit Risk and other stakeholders;
- Collaborating with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure minimum turnaround times from engagement to structuring and decision;
- Promoting cross-regional referrals and cross regional transactions, fostering team work and sharing best practice;
- Pro-actively ensuring that the underlying credit and operational risks of the local portfolio are being duly managed and reported.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognised tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline;
- A proven track record in CSTF related sales and structuring, with the ability to maintain risk and portfolio management standards in line with risk and balance sheet appetite;
- A good understanding of the local CSTF markets and players;
- Demonstrable knowledge of CSTF products and hybrid solutions and their application;
- Sound application of Credit, Operational and Market Risk principles applicable to CSTF.
