Senior Business Development Manager, Institutional Sales

With $37 billion of invested assets in Australia and approximately 80 employees located locally, UBS is one of the largest global asset management businesses in the Australian market.
As a Senior Business Developer at UBS, you will be the key conduit to large institutions such as industry funds, corporate funds, insurance companies and with asset consultants. You will work in close partnership with investment and distribution colleagues in Australia and internationally to develop investment solutions for clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop the book of institutional business through acquiring additional mandates with prospects and existing clients
- Identification and development of new business relationships with institutional clients with an emphasis on those that have been targeted as “strategic”
- Promote UBS Global AM’s capabilities including both traditional (equity, fixed income asset allocation) and alternative portfolios (hedge funds, real estate infrastructure)
- Manage and deepen relationships with relevant consultants present in Australia
Requirements
- University degree required, a secondary qualification such as CFA advantageous
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the Australian financial markets
- A proven track record in institutional sales
- Significant success in selling – and a deep understanding of – traditional and alternative investment capabilities
- Fundamental understanding of the institutional client behaviour and needs, including asset consultants
- First-hand, practical experience in the logistical elements, legal compliance aspects and operational set-up of segregated mandates and their reporting needs, required
