To learn more visit www.StaplesAdvantage.com . The Database Marketing department supports Staples Advantage with business insights and direct marketing campaigns. The Sr.Business Insights Analyst will collaborate closely with the marketing and merchandising managers, providing them with analytical support throughout the entire marketing campaign lifecycle. He / she will face a variety of business owners and will answer their analytical needs for ad hoc and regular reports. The analyst will use large databases to summarize data, working with AQT, Alterian, Business Objects, and SAS. Primary Responsibilities: Pre-Campaign Analysis : Support the marketing and merchandising teams with pre-campaign analysis. Provide preliminary analysis with available universe of users, options for targeting, and ideas for segmenting and testing. Post-Campaign Analysis: Play a critical role in improving marketing effectiveness by providing timely and detailed reports on marketing campaigns performance. Write SQL queries to speed up an insightful reporting process. Create formalized write-ups based on promotion results and present to multiple levels of management. Business Intelligence Ad-hoc Analysis : Answer ad hoc questions and provide customer insights to the marketing leads, merchandising managers and other business leaders. Interpret the business value of the questions and transform them into analytical processes. Conduct in-depth customer behavior analysis and develop actionable insights to support decision making of the Marketing and senior management teams. Continuous process improvement : Participate to the overall efforts of the database marketing team in improving processes, communications and tools. Collaborate with marketing database vendors.
