The world's leading inter-dealer broker is looking for a confident, proactive, decisive and dynamic person with keen commercial sense to take on a new and exciting role as a Senior Business Partner. The role is part of a newly established Finance team taking ownership of a specific Business area focusing on particular types of products - Credit, Equities, Metals and Futures.
They have been one of the few businesses in the current market that are continuously performing well.
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant and will report directly to the Decision Support Director and will be liaising regularly with the MDs as their senior stakeholders. The Business Partner will have access to a wealth of financial information and are tasked with sharing and presenting this information to assist in key decision making processes, directing focus where necessary as well as challenging the business on its plans.
The job requires a candidate with Clear and in-depth understanding of each business and the markets they operate in; interest in current affairs, ability to understand and discuss impacts for the business; ability to evaluate new business ideas and identify potential risks; ability to pro-actively challenge the business, actively participate in decision making processes, presenting alternative approaches, possible solutions and highlighting potential issues; and the ability to understand and effectively review information produced by the Finance Operations team e.g. management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
