Mechanical - Electrical - Building services - subcontract and materials
Essential? Mechanical, eletrical and building services industry experience is essential for this role.
Our client is a very successful engineering service provider in the UK primarily in the Commercial, Water and Industrial sectors.
This role has an equal split between materials and sub-contract purchasing.
Principal Responsibility of the Role:
Provide an appropriate resource for procurement of materials, equipment, and other services in support of specific projects and overall company requirements on a best value basis. Deliver continuous improvement in the company’s supply chain consistent with overall trading principles and objectives. Direct and support Procurement Department / Stores staff to achieve maximum efficiency. Develop and improve company procedures associated with all matters relating to procurement.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Full participation in the strategic planning and development of essential procurement policies and procedures to meet business needs bringing the department in line with best practice procurement techniques and reporting.
Supply Chain
• Development of the company’s supply chain management capability, and in doing so, bring long term bottom line improvements.
• Negotiation of contracts for supply of goods and services.
• Development of sustainable, long term relationships with trading partners i.e. suppliers and sub-contractors.
The package would include a Car allowance, BUPA Medical, BUPA Dental, Discretionary Bonus, Life Assurance and Pension contributions after qualifying period.
