We have a great opportunity for a Senior Buyer-Planner located in Woodstock, Ontario.
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES DUTIES
 
Manage the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) and issue purchase orders or replenishment call-offs for direct and indirect materials.
 
·         Work closely with Sales Marketing using the Honeywell SIOP (Sales, Inventory Operations Planning) process to understand future demand patterns and provide requirements forecasts to suppliers as required
·         Maintain the PFEP data fields in the ERP system to ensure accurate minimum inventory levels are maintained, while ensuring inventory goals are met
·         Run and review the ERP action report, obtain approvals as required and enter PO’s or replenishment call-offs into the ERP system and send to suppliers via e-mail. 
·         Review Indirect Purchase Requisitions to ensure completeness, accuracy and appropriate approvals and issue Purchase Orders for indirect materials and services
·         Resolve any PO billing discrepancies with Finance.
 
Manage purchase orders, due dates and raw material inventory levels
 
·         Receive supplier acknowledgements and ensure the PO due dates are accurately maintained in the ERP system. Run the Supplier Open PO report for key suppliers as required.
·         Push-in and pull-out Purchase Order due dates, as needed, to prevent production disruptions, delays, downtime and excess inventory.
·         Resolve Supplier delivery problems (late and early receipts) in an aggressive and timely manner utilizing Rapid Problem Solving, Root Cause Corrective Actions etc. and escalate for assistance as required. 
·         Assist and support management of Inactive, Obsolete and Excess inventories. 
 
Support supplier negotiations to attain Sourcing Metrics for quality, cost, delivery, payment terms, lead time and inventory. 
 
·         Ensure all Supplier data is accurately maintained in the ERP system
·         Work closely with Honeywell Global Commodity Managers to negotiate best total cost, payment terms and lead-times with suppliers.
·         Support reporting of sourcing metrics and issue Supplier Scorecards to the top suppliers on a monthly basis
·         Execute RFQ’s as needed to support Engineering Change Notices and Value Engineering improvements
·         Assist Supplier Quality in resolving non-conforming material issues to improve Supplier PPM 
 
Support special projects and initiatives
 
·         Embrace and support the Honeywell Operating System (HOS) rollout.
·         Support the site’s transition to SAP (planned for 2013)

 

Basic Qualifications:
 
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent • Minimum 10 years of experience in an Integrated Supply Chain or Sourcing role.
 
Additional Qualifications:
 
• Communication and Interpersonal - crisp verbal skills for velocity plus effective listening; solid negotiation skills; demonstrates high energy; a motivated team player. • Execution - persistent drive for results utilizing sound project management and organizational skills; able to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively with minimal supervision • Strategic Thinking – Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to make sound business judgments. • Technical - excellent knowledge of operations management and supply chain processes; knowledge and experience of using Lean Manufacturing tools and processes to drive improvement: Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification desired. • Computer skills - advanced experience of Microsoft Excel; experienced user of ERP Systems for materials planning sourcing: MAS 90 experience desired.
