Senior C# Developer – AVP3 – Fixed Income IT – EMG JANE recruitment

The successful candidate will be part of a small team of developers tasked with the ongoing extension and evolution of the framework. This will involve working closely with the quantitative analysts, various trading desks, product control, risk management and other IT areas.

EMG IT is a fast paced, dynamic environment driven by a combination of new business, regulatory projects and optimization of the environment. Providing effective solutions to our clients often involves harnessing the latest technologies, whether this is delivering a new framework for trader facing tools or benchmarking and optimizing code for the latest processors for inclusion in the 14,000+ core Monte Carlo farm which runs 24 x 7 supporting the front office analytic risk calculations.

Emerging Markets business deals across multiple asset classes namely, bonds, FX, interest rate, credit and derivatives. In effect we are a compendium of the Fixed Income business as a whole that deals in markets across tens of emerging market countries and 8 locations. Desired Skills Experience

* Bachelors degree in engineering, math or science required - Advanced degrees a plus

* Minimum 6 years of practical experience building trading or risk systems in an object oriented language

* Candidate should be an expert in using C# and have detailed knowledge of object and component oriented design techniques

* Solid experience building multi-threaded applications at all different stack levels- from the lowest database layer to the server side application layer to the client facing GUI

* Candidate should have an "ownership" mentality- for tackling problems from beginning to completion

* Possess methodical analytical problem-solving skills

* Front Office experience in Fixed Income or Derivative products, ideally through building trading or risk management systems

* Candidate should be able to express orally and in writing design opinions and thoughts clearly and professionally
