Harrington Starr is working with a leading Proprietary Trading Firm based in Amsterdam to find a Senior C++ Trading Systems Developer to work on their low latency and high frequency automated trading systems.
This firm will look at developers from any part of Europe and are happy to help with relocation to Amsterdam of both individuals and their families.
As the Senior C++ Trading Systems Developer (STL, Linux, UNIX, Low Latency, C++, Open Source) you will be working for a one of the leading proprietary firms in an office of over 300 people with 150 IT staff. This is a highly technology focused environment, with developers focusing on using the latest C++ techniques to develop clean, fast code. You will be developing on a high frequency automated trading system that is written in C++ on a Linux platform. Ideally you will have experience developing on an automated trading system before and will have a good understanding of the Financial Services sector.
This firm has a Google mentality and developers are given the opportunity to work on their own ideas and a lot of improvements to the systems have come out of this approach. The environment has a start up feel with the advantage of being an established firm. Their systems need to perform at ultra low latency in order to give this firm a competitive advantage and as such their considerably revenue invested into the system. You will be expected to really push the boundaries of technology and help continue to make the system as quick as possible.
As the Senior C++ Trading Systems Developer (STL, Linux, UNIX, Low Latency, C++, Open Source) you will need:
* Strong experience in C++ development on a UNIX/Linux platform - Essential
* Knowledge of STL and Open source C++ libraries - Highly Beneficial
* Experience working on automated trading systems - Highly Beneficial
* Strong knowledge of the Financial Markets - Highly Beneficial
