Overview:
Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) comprises three businesses: Corporate Finance, Markets and Global Transaction Banking and includes regional coverage in the Bank's key growth areas.
We are looking for a Cash Management Corporate (CMC) sales person to join our Multinational Corporates team. This person handles a portfolio mainly US and European-based Trade Finance and Cash Management clients, focusing primarily on cash management. Sophisticated corporates usually run centralized regional treasury operations and usually work with a single regional or global Cash Management banking partner coupled with domestic Cash Management providers. Our client’s product capability and partnerships allows them to deliver both regional as well as domestic cash management solutions in 17 countries in Asia Pacific and provides products that are designed to perfectly support the organisational and technical infrastructure of the client. Based in Hong Kong, this person will be responsible for managing selected high priority regional Cash Management clients with regional treasury centres in Hong Kong as well as an in-country Cash Management portfolio.
In the proposed role, He / She will work together with our coverage colleagues in Capital Markets Treasury Solutions (CMTS) team as a product structuring specialist and interact with senior treasury managers of large MNC's to deliver their cash management requirements, focusing on both regional and local requirements of the client. In the role, this person will also have to work with in-country CMC sales colleagues as well as counterparts from Trade Finance, FX and other product areas to deliver wholesome solutions and win key mandates.
Key Responsibilities:
- The CMC Sales Manager will be responsible for financial performance for assigned trade finance and cash management portfolio, with primary focus on high priority cash management clients and MNCs with regional treasury centres in Hong Kong
- He / She will be in-charge of structuring and delivering the bank’s Cash Management solutions to key MNC clients operating in Hong Kong through client pitches, presentations, and responses to requests for proposal. The product areas covered would include the Bank's Payments, Collections, Liquidity Management, Client Channels and System Integration solutions. In this process, the manager will be working closely with colleagues from the coverage, product management as well as other product structuring specialists from the bank.
- To ensure a robust delivery of Cash Management solutions to these key clients, the Sales Manager will also work with GTB's Implementation and Customer Service teams.
- For selected high priority CMC clients with regional treasury centres / decision makers located in Hong Kong, he / she will also need to work with in-country CMC sales managers and sales heads within the APAC region to deliver regional Cash Management capabilities.
- He / She should also keep the global and regional Sales Managers, Senior Client Executives and the GTB senior management apprised on the latest developments on the client relationship and engage them when their services are required for extending a client relationship
You will have:
- University degree in Business Administration or related disciplines
- 8-10 years of prior Cash Management experience with proven success in major financial institutions in a sales, product or implementation role
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (fluency in Mandarin is an advantage)
- Sales oriented, proactive, highly organised and a keen eye for detail
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills to communicate at all levels and efficiently manage various stakeholders in a client deal team or relationship team to deliver a consistent and wholesome client pitch
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and some flexibility to work extended hours when necessary
- Working knowledge of Power Point, Excel and Word.
- Prior experience in working in a corporate organization within their Regional Treasury Center or Cash Management department is a bonus
