Senior Category Manager

Aviva is currently looking for a Senior Category Manager to join our Norwich based IT Business Applications Procurement Category Team. The team is accountable for all IT application software and externally hosted software used by UK Business Units.
A main focus of the role is to define and explore ways to create value from third party IT Business Application Software spend and engagements across the UK Region. You'll be a sourcing expert with strong influencing and negotiation skills. This will assist in developing the supply chain and establishing best practice, therefore making a significant contribution to business performance.
In addition, you'll be providing support to key internal stakeholders to ensure that significant cost savings and value for money is achieved. Your IT Procurement expertise will assist in driving the strategic direction for the procurement of Business Application Software across the organisation. And will also help minimise risks and maximise commercial and technical innovation for key contracts.
A proven track record of delivering IT Category Management within a demanding, fast evolving environment is essential. CIPS qualifications and a working knowledge of procurement tools such as Ariba and iProcurement are desirable.
